New Delhi: On Sunday, the BJP hit out at Congress for accusing it of trying to overthrow the Jharkhand government after three MPs from the big old party were allegedly arrested with a huge sum of cash in the Howrah of Bengal on Saturday. western.

Union Minister Arjun Munda said Congress used to throw baseless allegations against others to sweep their own mistakes under the rug.

“The Congress party has a habit of throwing baseless allegations against others to sweep their own mistakes under the rug. They (Congress members) have to explain where all the money recovered from the car came from,” did he declare.

The Congress accused the BJP of trying to overthrow its coalition government in Jharkhand, saying the saffron party’s game plan was to do in Jharkhand what it did in Maharashtra.

Acting on a tip, police on Saturday intercepted an SUV in which Congress MPs Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Kachchap and Naman Bixal Kongari were traveling on National Highway 16 at Ranihati in Howrah and allegedly found a huge sum of cash in the vehicle.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said on Twitter on Saturday that the BJP’s “Operation Lotus” in Jharkhand is on display in Howrah tonight. The game plan of ‘Hum Do’ in Delhi is to do in Jharkhand what they did in Maharashtra by setting up the ED duo.”

After Sena rebel leader Eknath Shinde was recently sworn in as Maharashtra’s chief minister, Congress denounced the BJP for seizing power “unethically”.

The Jharkhand Congress also claimed that the huge sum of money was part of a BJP plot to overthrow the Hemant Soren government, of which he is a part along with Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal.

Besides the MPs, there were two other people in the SUV, which carried a sign reading “MLA Jamtara Jharkhand” as well as the Congress election symbol, police said.

Ansari is the MP for Jamtara, while Kachchap is the legislator for Khijri in Ranchi district and Kongari is the MP for Kolebira in Simdega district.
