Iranian spokesperson slams UK Foreign Secretary’s remarks on Vienna talks

Britain’s foreign secretary said on Tuesday that Iran would be responsible for a possible deadlock in the Vienna talks and in that case all options would be on the table.

Khatibzadeh said on Wednesday that such irresponsible and unfounded statements are another card in the hollow deck of blame for Britain and some other Western countries for hiding years of inaction and supporting illegal and inhumane US sanctions.

He stressed that the use of such hackneyed statements and empty threats will not reduce Britain’s legal and moral responsibility for breaching the Iran nuclear deal, known as the nuclear deal. Joint Global Action (JCPOA), nor will it weaken Iran’s determination to reach a high-quality, lasting and reliable agreement that would serve the interests of the Iranian people, the Foreign Ministry website reported.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson added that, as has been said many times, only Iran’s strategic patience paved the way for the talks at this stage, but it is clear that this window will not remain. not open forever.

Khatibzadeh said it was necessary for the other parties to do everything in their power not to miss this last opportunity at the negotiating table, instead of playing the same repetitive blame game and using boring, because they themselves know better than anyone how baseless languages ​​are.
