Iran calls for international action against Israeli attacks on Syria – Politics News

Responding to reporters’ questions on Monday, Saeed Khatibzadeh said the international community’s inaction in the face of the Zionist regime’s continued acts of aggression against Syria and Israel’s flagrant violation of international rules and regulations have encouraged those in charge of that regime .

“There is no doubt that the overt and covert backers of the American regime play a significant role in increasing the audacity and brazenness of the (Israeli) occupation regime so that it not only continues to occupy the Golan Heights in Syria, but also launches aerial missiles and attacks against the infrastructure of the Syrian government and nation on several occasions,” he lamented.

Denouncing the Zionist regime for acting as the air force of terrorist groups throughout the Syrian crisis in recent years, Khatibzadeh said that whenever the Syrian army and its allied forces defeat terrorist groups, the Israeli warplanes act immediately and launch strikes on Syria.

The Islamic Republic of Iran condemns the acts of aggression of the Zionist regime against Syria and stresses the need for an appropriate and decisive response, whether on the ground or at the level of international organizations, he added.

Military sources said Friday that Israeli surface-to-surface missiles killed three people near the Syrian capital, Damascus.

The missiles came from the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights and some were intercepted by Syrian air defenses.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor said the three people killed were military officers and four other members of an air defense crew were injured.
